Inquiry
When you contact YANYAN Bags about wholesale handbag packaging, the first step is a focused inquiry. Share your target market, order volume, and any packaging preferences. We respond within 12 hours with initial questions about bag types, materials, and branding needs. This stage sets the foundation—packaging affects shipping costs, storage, and customer experience. We ask about polybag thickness, box dimensions, and whether you need custom printing. For buyers new to importing, we explain common packaging formats: individual polybags, dust bags, hangtags, and master cartons. No detail is too small. If you have existing packaging specs, send them; if not, we guide you through options. This avoids costly revisions later. The inquiry phase is also when we confirm your MOQ, typically 50–100 pieces per style for handbags, and discuss lead times. Transparent communication here prevents misunderstandings down the line. Remember, packaging is not just protection—it is part of your brand's first impression. We treat it that way from the very first email.
Quote
Within 12 hours of your detailed inquiry, we provide a written quote. It breaks down unit cost, packaging cost, and estimated shipping. For packaging, we itemize options: standard polybag (free), custom-printed polybag, non-woven dust bag, cotton dust bag, and rigid gift box. Each has a price and MOQ. For example, custom-printed polybags may require a 5,000-piece minimum, while dust bags often start at 1,000 pieces. We also note whether your packaging can be sourced locally in your country to save freight. The quote includes lead time estimates: samples in 7–10 days, bulk production in 25–35 days after sample approval. We do not hide fees. If you need testing (e.g., drop test, colorfastness), we list third-party lab costs. YANYAN Bags works with SGS and Bureau Veritas for quality control, and we can arrange pre-shipment inspections. The quote is valid for 30 days, giving you time to compare. Ask questions—we prefer clarity over assumptions.
Sample
Once you approve the quote, we produce a pre-production sample. This sample includes your chosen packaging. You will see the actual polybag thickness, the print quality on dust bags, and the fit of the box. We ship the sample via express courier (DHL, FedEx) at cost. Sampling takes 7–10 days. During this phase, you can request adjustments: change bag dimensions, switch from polybag to dust bag, or modify printing. We photograph each packaging component and share images before shipping. If you need a packaging-only sample (without the handbag), we can provide that too, but most buyers prefer to see the complete package. The sample cost is typically deducted from your bulk order if you proceed. We encourage you to test the packaging yourself—drop it, open it, feel the materials. Your feedback is documented and applied to production. No production starts without your written sample approval. This step protects both parties.
Production
After sample approval, we schedule production. Packaging materials are ordered in parallel with handbag manufacturing. Our factory in Guangzhou handles assembly and packing. For custom printed polybags or dust bags, we work with trusted local printers; lead time for packaging materials is usually 10–15 days. During production, we maintain a packing plan: each handbag is stuffed with tissue or air pillows to hold shape, then placed in its individual packaging. If you ordered dust bags, each bag is inserted into the dust bag, then into a polybag, then into a master carton. Master cartons are sized to maximize container or air freight efficiency. We use 5-layer corrugated cardboard for export. Carton labels include your SKU, quantity, and handling instructions. Production takes 25–35 days after sample approval, depending on order size and packaging complexity. We send weekly production updates with photos. If you have a deadline, inform us early; we can sometimes expedite.
QC
Quality control covers both handbags and packaging. Our in-house QC team inspects every unit before packing. For packaging, we check:
- Polybag thickness and seal strength
- Dust bag stitching and drawstring function
- Print accuracy (color, placement, legibility)
- Box rigidity and closure
- Master carton labeling and stacking strength
We follow AQL 2.5 standards. Additionally, we can arrange third-party inspection through SGS or Bureau Veritas at your request. They verify packaging specs against your approved sample. If defects are found, we rework or replace before shipping. We document each inspection with photos and reports. Packaging defects are rare, but when they occur—such as a misprinted logo or a torn dust bag—we catch them before they leave the factory. This saves you returns and reputational damage. We also test packaging for transit: a drop test from 1.2 meters simulates rough handling. If your packaging fails, we adjust materials. Quality control is not a formality; it is a commitment.
Shipping
We ship from Guangzhou, China. Packaging affects shipping method and cost. Individual polybags are lightweight and compressible, ideal for air freight. Rigid gift boxes add volume and weight; for these, sea freight is more economical. We provide a packing list with carton dimensions, weights, and quantities. You can choose EXW, FOB, CIF, or DDP terms. We work with freight forwarders to get competitive rates. For small orders, express couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS) deliver in 3–7 days. For larger orders, sea freight takes 20–35 days depending on destination. We load containers carefully to prevent crushing. If you use your own forwarder, we coordinate with them. We also offer drop-shipping services: we pack and ship individual orders directly to your customers, using your branding on packaging. This is popular with e-commerce brands. All shipments include tracking. We send shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading) promptly. You are never left guessing where your goods are.
After-Sales
After delivery, we remain available. If you encounter packaging issues—such as damaged cartons or missing dust bags—contact us within 30 days with photos. We investigate and, if the fault is ours, we replace or credit. We also gather feedback to improve future orders. Many buyers reorder with refined packaging specs. We keep your packaging templates on file for consistency. For long-term partners, we offer priority production slots and packaging design consultations. YANYAN Bags has been a factory-direct handbag manufacturer for 16 years. We export to boutiques, e-commerce brands, and department-store private labels worldwide. Our packaging options are designed to be flexible: from basic polybags to fully custom gift boxes. We do not inflate prices or hide costs. Our goal is to be your reliable packaging partner, not just a handbag supplier. If you need references or want to visit our Guangzhou showroom, we welcome you.
